A Welcome Sight
Tonight saw the reopening of Warehouse 42 with live blues by the solid Jaggpro McCann and Blue4u Nowicka. After a bit of an absence, Zud Zaftig and the Warehouse are back in Inquestor - old faithful fans flocked to the new site and new fans appeared out of the woodwork. Good music, intelligent conversation, a nice build and great company!
Keep an eye open for events at the Warehouse 42 in Inquestor. You won't be dissapointed.

Tone Uriza
Tone has taken the live blues performance community by storm. He's performing everywhere - he's not hard to find, check the events listings sometime - he's all over it. I've caught quite a few of his shows and I have never been disappointed.
He really enjoys performing, he interacts with his audience, he remembers people's names, and man, can he sing! A very sweet speaking voice and then he gets down and dirty and belts out these songs! His phrasing is so expressive, and his voice is quite an instrument. He's got a good range and he can get so gravelly you can feel it. His voice resonates and you can feel the song through him. Yes, he's THAT good.
His performances are a combination of classic and contemporary blues, including some of his own compositions. Tone genuinely seems to be having a blast up there and his audience shares in the fun.
His website is on his profile - he's a performer in RL and his band is called Tony and the Torpedoes. They're based in the Soutwest USA. He's also got a MySpace page and his CDs are available on CD Baby. He's amazing, go check him out. Request "Frigidaire Woman." You'll be glad you did.

Komuso Tokugawa
I hit the Komuso Tokugawa concert tonight in the Epsilon sim at LIL Sturgis. The Sim was packed, up to 72 people at one point, all there to see one of the best blues performers in Second Life. Komuso is an Aussie living in Japan, and performs live in SL - traditional blues guitar and harmonica. The guy is just amazing. What a voice - earthy, gritty, and a low growl. And in between songs, that Aussie accent. Swooon!
If you get a chance to catch one of his gigs, do it! You won't regret it!

Kori Travanti

I've been a fan of Kori's since she got dragged into SL last September, with her brand of eclectic instrumental electroacoustic fusion. Most of her music is her own original composition, with many diverse influences. It's very melodic and flowing and peaceful. She brings much of her own life into her music, in some ways it's very autobiographical. She's written some new pieces that she's added to her concerts in which she plays the flute, inspired by the history of the Nez Perce tribe, which is truly haunting in its simple beauty.
Kori is a delightful person. She's jumped right into the SL community and into performing - learning about the ups and downs of SL life and riding the bugs and waves with graceful aplomb alongside her growing and faithful audience.
I catch her shows whenever I can - she's a wonderful performer - stop by next time you see her in the events listings! She plays an ever-widening list of venues.
The photo above was taken in the Future Perfect sim, in Luna Bliss' delightful Garden Center and Nature Area. (213, 57, 52)
Check out Kori's My Space page and her Kori Tunes page lots more info as well. She keeps much of her SL performance schedules up there, as well as links to buy her CDs.
Thank you so much, Kori! Always a delight!
